About

Mind42 is a free public web service and therefore shares the same infrastructure for every user. For users who need a little bit of extra security or performance we offer licenses to run local instances of Mind42: Mind42 Local

Mind42 Local instances are delivered as virtual machine images that contain a Linux setup with all components necessary to run Mind42. This allows users to run their own Mind42 in any virtualization setup they have and to take over every responsibility and flexibility regarding server maintenance.

Requirements

Mind42 Local is delivered as 64bit VMware virtual machine images (.vmx). To run it you'll need any 64bit virtualization host that supports running VMware images (VMware server, VMware ESXi). To run smoothly the VM will need a minimum of 512MB of RAM. Internet connectivity for the VM is not mandatory, but recommended for all features to work.

Caution: Mind42 Local is NOT a regular desktop mind mapping application. It's a full Linux server containing all the same software to run a web app like Mind42.com. A server and some server administration knowledge is required.
